It's all go at Wellbeing Centre! We have a regular weekly timetable of engaging activities to support your mental and physical wellbeing.

 

We also work with other local agencies to run courses and events at the centre.

Creative Writing Workshop Poster Course May 25.png

Creative Writing Workshop

Building from our successful pilot, we're thrilled to bring you another Creative Writing workshop with author and mindfulness coach Sarah Mowday.

Held on every 2 weeks on Thursday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm for 6 sessions, it will be a fun and informal writing session suitable for all skill levels.

Whether you already enjoy creative writing or if this is completely new, you're welcome (and there's no pressure to share your work unless you would like to).
 

Payment for the whole course will be £30. Payment is preferred in advance to guarantee your place. Just pop into the Centre to pay via cash or card or contact us by email or phone on 01509 606 370 to discuss. 

ADHD Adult Support Group

Every month on the Third Thursday of the month we have our popular ADHD Support Group for adults. 

It runs from 10am to 12pm at the Wellbeing Centre and is open to all; whether you have been diagnosed for years or just starting the journey with ADHD diagnosis. 

 

It's run by volunteers who all have experience of living with and managing their ADHD and is a welcoming place for peer support and chat.
 

No need to pre-book, just come along!

Sound Meditation

 

Our monthly Sound Meditation session is one of our most popular groups at the Wellbeing Centre. 

 

Come and experience the relaxing sounds of gongs, singing bowls, drums and other instruments to relax and unwind. A beautiful way to treat yourself to some self-care.

It's also great value at £5 per person, payable in cash or card, and there's no need to pre-book.

Carers Coffee Morning 

This is a weekly group, held on Wednesday mornings from 10:30am-12pm for anyone who is a carer to come along and socialise, meet other carers and get some respite time and peer support.​

All are welcome, paid and un-paid carers, and it's free to attend.

Yoga classes

We have 4 yoga classes a week at the Wellbeing Centre so there's something for everyone:

  • Tuesdays and Fridays at 10am is mat-based and suitable for all. 

  • Tuesdays 11:30am is chair-assisted. This style of yoga is practiced sitting on a chair or standing and using a chair for support, really helpful for those who may physically struggle with floor work.

  • Tuesdays 1pm is our new Women's Only yoga class.

All classes are pay-as-you go and at the great value price of £4 per person, payable in cash or card. There's also the opportunity to pay in advance and you can buy a pre-payment card for 10 classes for £40 and you'll get your 11th class free!

Fitness Class

 

Get those heart-raising endorphins going with a fitness class! Our Fitness Pilates and Boxing Fitness class runs on Wednesdays from 1-2pm with our instructor Emma. 

£4 per person and the session can be adapted to suit all fitness levels so come along and give it a try.

Stitching Well 23.png

Stitching Well

 

Every Tuesday from 2-4pm we have our female-only Stitching Well group. 

Join in on a group stitching project or bring your own items you are working on and enjoy the company of others while we stitch and chat. 

Free to attend and no experience necessary.

Mankind Meet Up

 

This group is designed for and led by men to support your wellbeing and is a great way to meet other men in a safe and welcoming space. There will be lots of different activities and a chance to get out and about too.

NCHA Mental
Health Wellbeing Service

Every Monday from 11am-1pm NCHA will be at the Wellbeing Centre during our Wellbeing Café to see people. No need to make an appointment, if you'd like to see someone from NCHA, please just come along!

ADHD Adult Support Group

ADHD Solutions are starting a new Adult Support Group which will be running monthly at the Wellbeing Centre.

If you have ADHD and would like to join a peer-support group then this is for you!

Every Third Thursday of the month 10-12pm starting on the 21st September.
