It's all go at Wellbeing Centre! We have a regular weekly timetable of engaging activities to support your mental and physical wellbeing.

 

We also work with other local agencies to run courses and events at the centre.

Therapeutic Wellness Programme

A wonderful 8 week course of Therapeutic Trauma Informed Yoga. This course is targeted at those who have gone through a recovery journey from drugs/alcohol and is available for Leicestershire County residents only. For those that qualify, we're able to offer this great course for free.

Separate groups for men and women, details on the poster. 

 

Pre-booking is essential and you'll need to be willing to share your phone number with us for the yoga practitioner to call you back to discuss eligibility.

Chair Assisted Yoga

 

We're pleased to announce that we're adding a new addition to our yoga sessions; a chair assisted class.

This style of yoga is practiced sitting on a chair or standing and using a chair for support, really helpful for those who may physically struggle with floor work.

It will still be at the great value price of £3 per person, payable in cash or card, and there's no need to pre-book.

LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing Cafe .png

LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing Café

A new group for us and partnership with Trade brings you the first LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing Cafe!

 

The first pilot session will be held on Tuesday 24th September from 5-7pm. It's a drop-in session, so no pre-booking necessary.

Come along and meet like-minded individuals to socialise, make friends and get support.

Money Management Course

The link between mental health, stress, anxiety and money problems is well known so we're really pleased to be partnering with Charnwood Money Advice Centre to run a FREE Money Management Course.

It's a one-off session where you'll learn lots of useful money management and budgeting tips with a workbook to take home and carry on with in your own time.

It will be held here at the Wellbeing Centre on Wednesday 2nd October from 10am-12:30pm.

Menopause Wellbeing Cafe Final Poster Sept-Dec.png

Menopause Wellbeing Café

 

A great monthly support group for those going through the perimenopause and menopause. The evening will be divided into a relaxed 'café style' session of chat and peer support from 6-7pm and then a yoga class 7-8pm which will be lead by an experienced menopause-yoga specialist. 

 

Booking required for the yoga as places are limited, please email us at the centre. Or, if you'd just like to attend the first half of the evening - just come along!

Fitness Class

 

Get those heart-raising endorphins going with a fitness class! Our Fitness Pilates and Boxing Fitness class runs on Wednesdays from 1-2pm with our instructor Emma. 

£3 per person and the session can be adapted to suit all fitness levels so come along and give it a try.

Stitching Well

 

Every Tuesday from 2-4pm we have our female-only Stitching Well group. 

Join in on a group stitching project or bring your own items you are working on and enjoy the company of others while we stitch and chat. 

Free to attend and no experience necessary.

Sound Meditation

 

Join us twice a month on the first and third Mondays of  for Sound Meditation.  Take some time for yourself and experience the healing and relaxing sounds of the instruments for one hour of perfect peace.

Session will be the first Monday of the month 2-3pm.

Only £5 per person, payable on the day, cash or card.

Mankind Meet Up

 

This group is designed for and led by men to support your wellbeing and is a great way to meet other men in a safe and welcoming space. There will be lots of different activities and a chance to get out and about too.

Yoga Classes

We offer 2 yoga sessions per week on Tuesdays and Fridays with our fabulous yoga instructors who will gently instruct you and take you through an hour of yoga which will benefit both your body and mind. 

Yoga mats and blocks are provided (but you are welcome to bring your own if preferred) and you can also choose to use a seat if you prefer. 

Classes can be adapted for all abilities so please come along and give it a try, and at only £3 a session it's unbelievable value!

Together We Care’ Carers Self Advocacy & Wellbeing Group

 

Every Wednesday morning 10:30-12pm we host The Carers Centre LLR's Together We Care Self-Advocacy and Wellbeing Group where unpaid carers (including those in receipt of Carers Allowance) can meet with others for support. 

At these sessions you will have the opportunity to meet other carers to share experiences, find out about your rights and entitlements as a carer, and gain skills to help you manage your wellbeing.  

NCHA Mental
Health Wellbeing Service

Every Monday from 11am-1pm NCHA will be at the Wellbeing Centre during our Wellbeing Café to see people. No need to make an appointment, if you'd like to see someone from NCHA, please just come along!

ADHD Adult Support Group

ADHD Solutions are starting a new Adult Support Group which will be running monthly at the Wellbeing Centre.

If you have ADHD and would like to join a peer-support group then this is for you!

Every Third Thursday of the month 10-12pm starting on the 21st September.
